Dr. Aitken was born in London, Ontario, Canada. After graduating from The University of Toronto with a degree in medicine, he completed his residency, internship and fellowship requirements in Canada and New Zealand.
Dr. Aitken moved to Ashland, Kentucky in 1994. He maintains active privileges at King's Daughters Medical Center and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.
He is a member of the American and Kentucky Medical Associations, the Kentucky Orthopedic Society, Boyd County Medical Society, the Canadian and Ontario Medical Associations as well as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
An avid golfer, in his spare time you will find Dr. Aitken on his favorite golf course.
